My Experience
Disney Consumer Products
Retail Strategy and Integration Intern
As the Retail Strategy & Integration Intern at Disney Consumer Products, I support the development of cross-category merchandise strategies for Parks IP, core franchises, and major theatrical releases. Because this work is developed approximately two years in advance of launch, much of the strategy, planning, and creative alignment remains confidential.
While I’m unable to share visual assets or detailed program materials, my role involves defining program strategy pillars such as target guest demographics, SKU counts, product life cycles, revenue goals, and set/exit timelines. I also develop POV boards, creative briefs, and storytelling tools to align cross-functional teams throughout the product development process.
In addition, I build and maintain key operational tools, including assortment trackers, dashboards, and set/exit files, to support visibility and alignment across teams. Through milestone meetings and ongoing collaboration, I contribute strategic recommendations and support programs from early ideation through execution.
Cheeky Peach Boutique
Assistant Store Manager
During my time as Assistant Store Manager at Cheeky Peach Boutique, I developed a well-rounded skill set across both retail operations and creative direction. I supported daily store operations, inventory management, and team leadership, while training and motivating sales associates to exceed sales goals and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
I played a key role in visual merchandising and styling, curating in-store displays and providing personalized styling services for both in-store and online customers. In close collaboration with the store owner, I attended apparel markets to assist in selecting merchandise that aligned with emerging trends, brand vision, and customer demand.
My role also extended into content creation, where I contributed to digital styling sessions and social media initiatives designed to increase brand engagement and visibility. This experience allowed me to seamlessly balance creativity with business strategy, reinforcing my passion for fashion merchandising, customer experience, and team leadership.

Attending the Atlanta Apparel Market with store owner Katie Jacobs provided valuable hands-on experience in retail planning and buying. I supported the selection of a curated women’s apparel and accessories assortment that aligned with the store’s brand identity and customer preferences. From evaluating fabric quality and color palettes to discussing pricing and vendor exclusivity, I played an active role in ensuring selections balanced style, profitability, and market demand. This experience strengthened my understanding of the buying process and reinforced the importance of strategic assortment planning in driving retail success.

Digital styling remains a key way Cheeky Peach Boutique connects with its customers through Instagram and Facebook direct messaging. As a digital stylist, I curated personalized collections based on each customer’s preferences and needs, creating video content that highlighted product details, demonstrated fit, and showcased styling tips, often by trying pieces on myself. This allowed customers to experience products virtually and make informed purchasing decisions from the comfort of their homes. I also created try-on content and shared styling tips through Instagram and Facebook Stories, static posts, and Reels, offering followers a closer look at how pieces could be styled together.

Couture a la Cart
Merchandising Manager
Couture a la Cart is a semester-long initiative led by fashion merchandising majors as part of The University of Georgia’s Retail Entrepreneurship course. The project involved designing and operating a mobile pop-up shop, curating a product assortment from local vendors, and managing merchandising and sales in a real-world retail environment. Each student held a defined role, simulating a professional retail structure and contributing to the overall success of the business.
As the Merchandising Manager, I led a team of visual and product merchandisers, fostering collaboration while ensuring strong organization and execution. I worked closely with the Planning Director to develop pricing strategies and track weekly sales performance and partnered with the Accountant to manage the merchandising budget efficiently. My responsibilities included overseeing product tagging, enforcing merchandising SOPs during selling days, and collaborating with the Marketing team to maintain a cohesive, visually compelling aesthetic across all products and promotions.
In addition, I provided creative direction to the merchandising team, supported inventory management, and made data-driven recommendations to improve product performance, all while ensuring alignment with the Couture a la Cart brand identity.
Coming Up With a Theme: “Air Couture”
At the very beginning of the semester, we were tasked with developing an overarching theme that would guide our marketing, merchandising, and buying efforts for the selling season. After much deliberation, we landed on "Air Couture," a theme that perfectly aligned with the concept of our pop-up shop traveling across campus.
Transforming “Air Couture” Into a Tangible Shopping Experience
Transforming the Air Couture theme into a tangible shopping experience was a highly collaborative process focused on bringing the concept of travel-inspired, everyday fashion to life. Every detail was intentionally designed to immerse customers in a sense of movement and adventure, elevating the mobile pop-up cart into a destination of its own.
To enhance the experience, we created custom boarding passes stapled to receipts, offering customers an interactive and memorable takeaway. The space was styled with vintage airline photography, suitcases, a globe, and cloud-patterned wallpaper to evoke a nostalgic travel atmosphere. Additional touches included a mirror decorated with travel stickers and hand-painted shopping bags featuring airplane motifs, adding a personalized, creative element to each purchase.
Our product assortment was thoughtfully curated to reflect versatile, on-the-go fashion, with intentional placement to support ease of shopping and visual flow. Branded stickers were included with every purchase, reinforcing the theme beyond the point of sale. Together, these elements created a cohesive and engaging retail environment, making Air Couture a memorable and immersive experience for customers.
Alpha Gamma Delta
Vice President of Marketing
As Vice President of Marketing for my sorority, I led a team in crafting and maintaining a cohesive brand identity across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. I drove the rebranding process by designing a new logo, brand kit, and custom presets, establishing a unified and modern chapter identity. I also redesigned the chapter website on Squarespace, enhancing usability while aligning with the refreshed branding.
I guided the Director of Social Media on content strategy to ensure all posts were consistent, engaging, and on-brand. In collaboration with the Director of Merchandising, I worked with vendors to design and source exclusive chapter merchandise. Additionally, I produced and edited videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels, elevating our online presence and engagement.
These efforts resulted in 750,000 impressions and a 30% increase in post engagement. Through strategic planning, creative leadership, and collaboration, I played a key role in strengthening our marketing initiatives and expanding the sorority’s digital footprint.
